NEXT MEETING: February 13, 2007 AND EVERY SECOND TUESDAY OF THE MONTH, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

You are invited to come for drinks and share your questions and comments about what it takes to create a life here, own property and enjoy what France has to offer. It is also an opportunity to network with other Parler Paris readers.
*Special Note: Anyone attending Parler Paris Après Midi must be willing to have their photograph taken and a brief description written about them for publishing in Parler Paris. Your presence indicates your willingness to participate.

The first to arrive were old friends who had just landed that morning -- Adrian Culverson and Sara Barnes, both from Southern California. Yes, Adrian is a woman and amazingly we spell our names the same...the masculine spelling! Quelle coincidence! They are both here vacationing while dreaming about owning a property here.
Medora Kaltenbach is a regular in Paris, but first-timer at Après Midi. She owns an apartment near La Bourse and loves everything Paris has to offer.
Tom Regan is still in town and still gracing us with his presence. Allan Smid allowed us to take his photo this time around.
Newcomer Dave London, who is working on a novel and is a regular visitor to Paris, not only came to see what Après Midi was all about, but came to retreive the photo of the Palais du Luxembourg he purchased from Erica Simone.
Patricia Laplante-Collins, of Paris Soirées, as always, was present, this time without her pup, Eve, because the management has outlawed dogs! Have you seen her new and larger apartment yet? Check her site at http://www.parissoirees.com for the line up of future events...
Old friend, Diana Smith, sauntered in late but happily -- now that she's spending more time at home and loving it. She comes to "observe social architecture, learn French and enjoy the beauty of Paris, diversity in Europe and watch films."
More old friends...Geraldine Kaylor is back after almost one year. She and her husband, Jeffrey Rauch, come to Paris yearly for about two months while he teaches mathematics and she enjoys the city...and Judy Schreiber of Melbourne took a few hours out of her busy schedule renovating their new pied-à-terre in Le Marais to visit with us.
Among our regulars were also Dorothy White, who has been a member of Parler Parlor for a very long time. Sheila Kern, artist, designer, decorator, is now a regular face at Après Midi, too.
Always a pleasure...and on a very mild winter day in Le Marais!
