It was roaring at one point -- and as full a house as we might normally have, now that everyone is back in town after a quiet summer. We saw a lot of new faces and lots of old friends.
Newcomers today included:
Joel Lewis, a past attendee of a Living and Investing in France Conference, has just arrived from DC for four months in Paris, studying French and exploring the city while making new friends.
Micheline Tanguy, a professional and personal coach who wants to develop business in Paris and London, spoke not long ago at Paris Soirees before coming to visit us.
Libby Wilke, is here with her daughter, Elizabeth, for about 10 days, staying in Le Provençal!
Gabriella Fernandez, came along with Antonio Meza, of PSI Communications. She's Mexican, as is Antonio, loves traveling and meeting new people and cultures and came to Paris to visit friends.
Eamon James Andrews from the UK is here to live, learn another culture as a professional potter who works from home.
Antonia Alexandra Klimenko has a brother who lives here and now herself -- writer, poet, artist, actress...working on her novel and trying to finish a play, while trying to get more students for English conversation and tutoring.
HiC Luttmers and Jeff Coinan are here for a holiday and to attend the concerts of Mylène Farmer. This is their 7th visit to Paris, hoping to make it a home away from home by acquiring and apartment at some point. They attended our Living and Investing in France Real Estate Conference in 2008 in San Francisco.
Eugene Oreck and his wife are retired and decided to live here for 8 months. Not bad!
"Oldtimers" included:
Patricia
Laplante Collins, of parissoirees.com,
with pup, Eve, always joins us in good spirits. She just
moved into her new location, so be sure to check with her about upcoming
events and her new address.
Jack is back (Lampert)...just for a few days before heading out again on his many travels.
Terry Easton, long time friend and colleague who lives in London and San Francisco, is here to speak at the Freedom Fest Conference and is looking for good writers. Paris has plenty, Terry!
Loui Franke, a periodontist with an apartment in the 5th and a home in Miami, came back again to chat with us.
Jane Stiller comes at least once every year and is trying to decide if she should invest in an apartment here. What's such a tough decision?!
Medora Kaltenbach, comes to Paris every two months for two months said her hellos and goodbyes with each visit, but it's always a pleasure to have her!
Marilee McClintock, retired Peace Corps Director and traveler extraordinaire, now has a couple of apartments in Paris and is here full time, except for her extensive travels...tough to keep her grounded!
Adrian McGinn, a Dubliner who has lived in Paris many years, takes time off from his busy day to come say hello to us.
Leonard and Janet Bass are only visiting for two weeks. They come every year, but we wish they could stay longer.
"Google Goddess" Julie Vetter tries to come every month now -- always full of smiles and 'zen' attitude in spite of her busy schedule.
Eva Marsh Ferziger has had an apartment here for ten years and stops in whenever she's in town.
Adrian Leeds Group staff member, Florence Richburg, brought her bright toothy smile and shining personality, and insisted on taking photos of all of us together.
