For some odd reason, few wanted to take seats, preferring to mingle than take the usual position at the tables.
Two parties came with wares to offer to the group:
1) Nu Skin products offered up by Marie-Elisabeth Crochard (co-coordinator of the Parler Parlor French-English Conversation Group and Valerie Grauer (with her husband), both past language school directors turned Nu Skin entrepreneurs. Valerie is developing a network of entrepreneurs who wish to earn money on tried and true products, such as Nu Skin. Anyone who has ever known anyone who sold or used Nu Skin products can attest to their effectiveness...so if you're interested, contact Marie-Elisabeth or Valerie at madamezaza@nsedreams.com
2) Original jewelry and greeting card creations by Marylouise Sillman, whose jewelry has been commissioned by top designers.
Among the newcomers were:
Katy Qualman, a guest at Le Provençal who loves Paris and comes with or without her husband to eat, drink, shop, walk and look.
Amanda Gilsinn, an American in love with France who teaches French in the States and is now trying to find a way to stay here, perhaps teaching English.
Eleanor Taylor, a teacher and designer who comes frequently to Paris and has a French-born family here. She's looking to be a part of a community whenever she's here.
Bruce and Gail Aboudara with their old friend, Bernard Sichel, who are all owners at Le Palace des Vosges. Gail attended a session a few months ago, then brought along her husband this trip and friend, Bernard. Bernard grew up "dans la creuse" and now lives in Los Angeles.
Gill McLauchlan, who teaches Deepak Chopra meditation, has the main goal to find a job she so can stay here in Paris, looking for a position in sales, marketing or business development.
And among the 'oldtimers' were:
Pam and Gene Watson, who are here for their 25th anniversary and are winding down their four week stay at "Le Beau Marais" apartment with only one week left.
Judith Manion and Peter Dickerson are taking a well-earned sabbatical and enjoying everything that Paris has to offer.
Peter Nichols, a writer, author and instructor here in Paris for a while and offering courses both real and virtual at http://www.thewritersvirtualworkshop.com.
Linda Quinet, an old friend of Parler Paris Après Midi who comes whenever she can.
Dale Gaber, a life coach and New Orleanian with an apartment in the neighborhood in which she spends at least half the year.
Alice Needham and Bill Sandi, who sympathized with my own renovation problems after their own long and sad tale.
Florence Richburg, Executive Assistant Extraordinaire, who moved here in June and hopes to live here happily ever after.
Patricia Laplante Collins, of Paris Soirées and long standing friend of Parler Paris, along with her not so puppy pup, Eve.
Medora Kaltenbach, who comes to Paris every two months for two months says her hellos and goodbyes with each visit, but it's always a pleasure to have her!
Delores Lilley, who we are sure to count on if she is in Paris, to attend and visit with friends.
Antonio Meza of PSI Communications, who invited everyone to join him during the New Year for new dreams, and a new boat in which to float! See all PSI has to offer at http://www.psicommunications.com
