This is your opportunity to meet every month, often with local professionals who can answer your Living and Investing in France questions. You are invited to come for drinks and share your questions and comments about what it takes to create a life here, own property and enjoy what France has to offer. It is also an opportunity to network with other Parler Paris readers.

*Special Note: Anyone attending Parler Paris Après Midi must be willing to have their photograph taken and a brief description written about them for publishing in Parler Paris. Your presence indicates your willingness to participate.

David (Drinks) Sprawls left the Margaritas home in lieu of flyers and coasters promoting his exclusive distributorship of blender drinks "en France." Ask him about his Egg Nog for the holidays by visiting http://www.daviddrinks.com

Mary Ellen Gallagher has become a "habitué" at Après Midi. Thanks to Mary Ellen, I have new matching armchair covers...of an old California print neither one of us can live without. It binds us in ways we can't explain.

Allan Smid's comment was simple: "I live here and chose to live here. There's no other town like it." Allan, we agree.

Mary Louise Stillman, came again with beautiful beaded necklaces for me to wear and appreciate. She surprised us this time around with greeting cards she had made of a Paris skyline we all decided we needed to buy from her! (12 Euros for 10 cards. Patricia Laplante-Collins, of Paris Soirées, as always, was present with her pup, Eve. Have you seen her new and larger apartment yet? Check her site at http://www.parissoirees.com for the line up of future event s...

Karen Crumbliss is ending her six weeks of exploration of Paris, while her husband works during the day. She says, "It's a gift." We assume she means Paris.

Parler Paris staff members Lynda Sydney and Tamara Coleman were on hand to say hello and get to know each other. Lynda is back for a bit from Toronto after five months. We miss her!

Antoinia Haraie is visiting friends and enjoying the city while Vilma Heramia came for a week of Christmas shopping.

Carol Clark has been coming to Paris since the early '80s and now comes every spring and fall for 2 weeks to see the art and photography museums and galleries, not to mention taking her own photos around town.

Bernard Ollagnier, a Frenchman, came out of curiosity and to speak English. Yael Menasse followed suit as she is studying and wants to travel -- so English will be very useful.

Madelaine Georgette is an artist who spends half the year in Paris and half in Seattle. Her 3rd arrondissement apartment is her workspace for her art and Paris is her workspace for a social, cultural and artistic experience.

Ralph and Karen Moorhouse from Houston, past conference attendees, were happy faced after getting good news from the banks on their future mortgage.

You can't keep Eva Lee Lichtenberg from coming to Paris several times a year from her home town in Tranquility, New Jersey. Paris is everything, but tranquil, and she loves that.

Chef Patti Ravenscroft wants to make Paris more of a home, at least half-time. She's been scouring the city for an apartment...no easy task as we know!

Kristin Shannon is a part-timer between Paris and San Francisco. She's a communications specialist with editing and publishing clients.

Mark Kritz is "Man of Montmartre," but comes to the Marais to visit whenever he is here. He says he just "can't help it."

Sharmaine Amsellem has a French husband...but that can't be her only excuse! Linda Quinet sauntered in latish, but better latish than neverish.
