Victoria The Pleasure Coach

"Does Paris Give You Permission to Have Pleasure?"

Join Victoria, The Pleasure Coach for a liberating view on how you can most benefit from that sly and encouraging nod the city of Paris offers you --the nod that says: go ahead, live your life with sexual pleasure. Victoria will share the beats of her own transformation (no, not X-rated!) and her observations on the social and cultural factors that encouraged a life-changing journey...so much so, she left her career in the children's television business to create her pleasure coaching service. For more information about Victoria's work, visit: www.thepleasurecoach.com

Jeffrey Greene: discussed "The Burgundy You Probably Don't Know: A Talk, Short Reading, and Illustrated Tour" Burgundy is renowned for its culinary tradition, its celebrated chardonnay and pinot noire wines, and its gorgeous Romanesque churches. However, there are parts of this large region of forests, chateaus, and canals that are unfamiliar even to many of the French themselves. We 'journeyed' with Jeffrey Greene, author of French Spirits and its sequel The Golden-Bristled Boar: Last Ferocious Beast of the Forest, on an inside view of Burgundy. It was a most enlightening journey into the life of a wild boar and life in Burgundy!

Patricia Laplante was sorely missed!: a special get-well wish was mentioned to Patricia Laplante who is currently recouperating at a Paris hospital. Get well soon, Patricia! For more information abut her Sunday night soireés, visit: www.parissoirees.com.

When asked each of the attendees to tell us a little something about themselves, here's what they wrote:

Roger and Naoma Foreman:Having a great time; signed a lease for six months next year; been to over 30 recitals/concerts this time; French almost up to level C.

Bill Sandie and Alice Needham: Ancien physicien à la rétraite...retired school teacher.

Janet Hulstrand: I love sharing my love of Paris with my literature students in the summer...and my love of the French countryside with the participants in my writing retreats in Champagne in the fall and spring. I hope some fellow francophiles and/or bibliophiles will visit my blog http://wingedword.wordpress.com and/or the Essoyes School website: http://essoyesschool.com and maybe join me in one of these literary French adventures!.

Pat Lenny and Lew Weinstein: We live in Key West in the winter and Collioure in the summer. From Collioure, we travel. We are currently in Paris on a two-week home exchange.

Pat and Stuart Harvey: Here for a year -- love Paris -- am certain we ll be back.

Laurie Kendall: Been coming since highschool. Now a widow and retired so I'm here for the summer and plan to do this every year.

Patricia Myers: My 14th summer, 20th year to be in Paris. I'm a writer and jazz critic for AllAboutJazz.com

Eugene Wiskowski: I live here and just enjoy the Paris experience.

Patrice Morley: My husband and I are francophiles (his goal is to be a francophone like me).

Karim Alloue: Visiting Paris with friend Bernard Sichel staying in Le Palace des Vosges -- drinking some nice wines.

Angelique Latimer: I've been to Parler Paris before. I'm a singer, songwriter and came here to perform.

Pamela Leavy: Came for one year and now in the 6th!

Ying Ying Wu: I've been living here for about three years. I lived here in the 1970s and worked as a journalist. I keep pretty busy with friends, watercolor, painting and cultural activities. I haven't decided yet about buying an apartment in Paris and still have an apartment in San Francisco, but I only spend a few weeks there every year.

Pamela Harper and Audrey: I am an american pretending to be French by not speaking...ha!

Patricia Young: An avid reader and I look forward to each adventure during my annual vacation -- wish it were longer.

Anna Clark: Yes, I am a reader of Parler Paris. Have been to your seminar in Portland, Oregon. Stayed in Paris February 14 - May 10, went back t Portland and got my Carte de Séjour. Currently living in the 7th -- moving to Gentilly. I am here as my goal is to be here because I have always loved France since the first visit in '72.

And those who wrote nothing, but were present: Marilee McClintock, Erica Simone Leeds, Peter Jennings, Bernard Sichel, Mary Louise Sillman.

Next on the agenda is...
