MEETING OF June 12, 2007

It
was a beautiful day to say hello to old-timers and newcomers alike at
Après Midi.
Pam
Shuttlesworth hadn't stopped in to say hello since years ago
when we met at a different location. She and her husband, Jerry,
owned an apartment in Paris for five years and are now looking to do
some renovating and upgrading...so they came seeking recommendations.
Diana
Smith has lived in Paris for more years than she can count
and has several apartments to rent to vacationers.
Of course,
one of our favorite regulars, Patricia Laplante Collins
of Paris Soirées was
along with her always smiling face.
Mary Louise Sillman always bejeweled in her own creations, brought along her smiling face and good humor, too, along with a photo album of her modeling shots. Need a senior model or actress? Mary Louise is your woman!
Ernesto Salazar made his debut at Après Midi. He's a Peruvian who married a French woman and tour service in Paris called "Calibri." Check out http://www.colibrideparis.com for his mini-van tours and other excursions.
Anne Matthews is a professional caterer
who comes here several months a year to enjoy the city and life while
her partner runs the works back home.
She and Judith Merians seemed to have lots to talk about -- perhaps film? Remember, Judith is our resident expert on filmmaking, having given two workshops for us and about to do another one in September.
Old friend Terry Easton, both a San Franciscan and Londoner, came for a few days and stopped in to chat with the other readers.
Regular Stella Strugnell came to Paris because of her husband's work, but now she's here for good writing and sharing her time with Cyprus. That's not a yawn she's covering, but a kiss she's blowing!
On the last minute, Peter Weiner and his wife came by to say hello now that they've fulfilled their dream to own an apartment in Paris.
Our very own Rental Manager and Mortgage Manager, John Rule, was present for a brief time -- but you'll be seeing plenty more of him as time goes by. He's the one to see for your next vacation apartment or to finance you next Paris apartment. Email John@AdrianLeeds.com
