Located in the Marais between boulevard Beaumarchais and rue des Arquebusiers in the 3rd arrondissement, La Musique is perfectly situated near the hip concept store “Merci,” surrounded by great cafés, restaurants, patisseries, markets, and two Métro stops. Just a short walk from the exquisite, trellised rose garden, Jardin Saint-Gilles-Grand-Veneur, home of the Catherine Deneuve Rose, the apartment is also just steps from the delightful 400 year-old Place des Vosges.

Housed in a well-maintained Haussmannian building, the lobby’s original glass ceiling, stained glass and mosaic tile floors ensures only the warmest welcome.

True to its name, La Musique will make you want to dance upon entering. It is a grand two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment that was “taken to the studs” and fully restored by Interior Architect Martine di Mattéo to a luxurious standard and will please even those with pitch perfect taste. Five glorious floor-to-ceiling windows flood the main rooms in rich natural light. Antique chandeliers throughout the apartment illuminate the evening hours.

From the black and white tiled entrance foyer one enters the reading room with a smartly upholstered chaise longue beneath a limited edition David Kracov sculpture that truly harkens to the apartment’s theme. Here one can spend hours in comfort planning the next day’s adventures. A beautiful powder room with sink, toilet, and one-of-a-kind etched glass window is just off the entrance foyer, of great convenience when you are entertaining in the heart of the apartment just beyond the reading room. The spacious living room has an elegant sofa that converts into a full-sized bed, suitable for two children or one adult and one child. There are two period armchairs, a coffee table, end tables and two lamps fabricated from real violins. Needless to say, they are instrumental to the décor.

For those leisurely moments in the apartment, the media center features a 40” flat-screen television, Blu-ray DVD player and an extensive pre-loaded iPod of classical, current, French and American music with a Bose docking station.

The inviting dining table which seats eight hungry gourmands is adjacent to the large, well-equipped and custom-designed open kitchen. The kitchen comes complete with a full-sized refrigerator/freezer, gourmet four-burner La Canche stove, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker and electric kettle. Antique decorative copper pots highlight the handsome stone backsplash and countertops.

At the rear of the apartment, and with easy access from the living/dining area, the master bedroom will make your heart sing. It is decorated in sophisticated, muted tones that extend from the bed linens to the lyrical original painting above the bed, created by Paris artist, Pascal Amblard. There is a new queen-size bed that can be separated into two singles, a handsome chest of drawers, and storage closet with shelves and hanging space that extends across one whole wall of the room. There is even a built-in computer desk and bookshelf with whimsical wallpaper that complements the décor.

The master bedroom en-suite bath is luxuriously mirrored and boasts of gorgeous patterned tile, large shower, toilet, heated towel rack, and sink.

The apartment’s fabulous décor continues in the second bedroom which sits across a small courette from the master suite and can be accessed either directly through a door just past the entrance foyer or through the second salle de bain complete with a contemporary shower, antique vanity, and heated towel rack. This fanciful bedroom is equipped with a double bed, hand-painted antique mirrored headboard and charming dresser and chair.

One final space that you will appreciate is the separate laundry room. Here you will discover a washer and dryer as well as a built-in table for folding, hanging rack and shelf.

Included in the apartment is cable television, with access to over 150 channels (several in English). WiFi is also provided, as is free telephone with answering machine. Long-distance calls to land lines in over 100 countries are free. This extends to calls to cell phones in the US and Canada.

Of course, complete bedding and towels are provided for your use as well as custom soaps made especially for La Musique.

As an added bonus, stay close to family and friends by renting La Rose du Marais, which is in the same building complex, just across the courtyard! How convenient is that?

We LOVED the uniquely decorated and perfectly appointed La Musique apartment. The spacious flat is extraordinarily comfortable and far exceeded our expectations in every way. Within a radius of less than a kilometer are excellent restaurants, bistros, markets, quality shopping. At least four Metro stations are no more than a few short blocks away. We look forward to enjoying the brilliance of La Musique again! The gourmet kitchen, and up-to-date electronics (with a vast music library) and wireless, a surprising library of Paris guide books, quality linens, bedding and drapery, and a modern heating system provided us a relaxed and pleasant charming home-like and trouble-free experience. The staff at Parler Paris Apartments was most professional and helpful. There's a thoughtfully created and useful guest reference manual. Check in and out was seamless.
